There was certainly a monetary crisis for the customers of two big high street banks in the UK recently. First, HSBC caused serious grief to its customers. Now Barclays has too.
Customers expect many things from their bank. Most of all they expect to be able to access their money when they need to. Banking services must remain operational at all times.
Barclays has coincidentally been plugging its new app, Pingit. Pingit enables users to send money without hassle at any time of the day or night. By definition, Pingit has to be continuously available.
