How to get high availability, low upfront cost, low complexity and low total cost of ownership
05Sep12
“Manufacturers need high availability at low up-front cost, low complexity, and low total cost of ownership .”
That rules out clustering (complex) and virtualisation with high availability (failure/restart as well as complex) then …
So, what’s left?
Fault tolerant technology will give you what you need because the other stuff needs to be tested regularly – and who does that? Come on, be honest!
As this Ironclad Uptime Reliability report states, “…..they may not actually work properly when you need them. You may think you are protected with redundancy, but you really are not.”
Enough said.
